Family support
The Hospice Children and Young Person’s Counsellor works with the families and children of patients at our hospice during the patients’ illness and afterwards providing psychological and practical support to meet their needs.
The Hospice’s Welfare Rights Officer provides advice on practical issues such as finances, housing, benefits support.
We work one-to-one with children, young people and adults.
We run a group for parents whose children need our help.
The team includes the Hospice pastoral leader as well as social workers and volunteers who have been trained to offer bereavement support.
